Parks Commission
Overview
The Parks Commission was re-established by the Village Board in 2008. The commission’s goal is to implement elements within the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan that was adopted December 2007. The Parks Commission shall direct its attention to the physical improvement, maintenance, and use of all village parks and facilities, and shall work closely with the Shorewood Recreation Department, School District, and community groups.

- 2nd Tuesday of every month

Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan, 2015
Shorewood’s parks plan was recently updated from the 2007 plan. The plan evaluates each parks and open space conditions and make recommendations. The Parks Commission reviews the recommendations and creates an implementation plan and prioritizes each item. View the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (PDF).
