Sewer Lining Program

The Village of Shorewood and the Shorewood Sewer Utility utilize lining technologies to improve performance and extend the life of sewer pipe. Each year, Sewer Utility staff utilize the shared CCTV rig (pictured at right) to investigate sewer infrastructure in approximately one-seventh of the village. Following the review of those tapes, staff identifies pipe segments in need of repair or rehabilitation. A contract for the rehabilitation work is awarded following a public bid process.

2016 Mainline Rehabilitation Program

The 2016 program  includes pipe segments in various locations throughout the Village.  A map of the affected lines can be viewed here.  Affected residents will be notified via a door notice.

The work will be performed by Visu-Sewer Clean & Seal of Pewaukee utilizing the National Liner product.  Please click here for additional information regarding the Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) process.

Affected residents have received notice of the cleaning and prep work which is scheduled to begin the week of October 3, 2016.  Impacted properties will also receive notice via a door hanger 24 hours in advance of the actual lining process.
