The Village of Shorewood is requesting proposals from qualified constructions for design engineering and construction inspection services for the Village's 2019 and 2021 watermain relay projects. The 2019 identified project includes the replacement of approximately 640 lineal feet of 6" ductile iron watermain with 27 service connections. The 2021 project has not yet been identified but is anticipated to be similar in scope.
The Shorewood Water Works owns and maintains approximately 32 miles of primarily ductile iron main ranging in size from 6 to 16 inches. The systems dates to the early 1900's. The Village adopted a lead service line replacement policy in 2016. The program includes testing protocols for partial lead service replacements can be viewed at www.villageofshorewood.org/lead.
Proposals shall be submitted to Leeann Butschlick, Shorewood Director of Public Works, by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22. Proposals received after that date and time will be rejected.Proposals will not be opened publicly.
