Design Review Board
The Design Review Board examines all plans and designs for new buildings, facade improvements, building additions and commercial signs. Patios in the front yard also require approval. Fences or new windows that do not change in size, do not require design approval; however, both require a building permit.
The Planning & Development Department receives and reviews the application for completeness. Applications must be received not less than 10 days prior to the next scheduled meeting. Professionally drawn materials are preferred, but hand drawn concepts are allowed and must be to scale and provide enough detail. For example, for a building addition, details of the fascia and trim should be shown to scale on the elevation.
The Planning & Development Department is moving toward a paperless application system and process. Applications can be emailed directly from our PDF fillable forms below. If you wish to pay for the application on the web, please indicate when you email the form. A link will be emailed back to you for online payment. For smaller projects, concepts or plans are encouraged to be emailed with the application. Staff will notify the applicant when the item is reviewed and what meeting the item will appear.
Materials and application are due 10 days prior to the meeting. All commercial signs are reviewed by the planning director before placed on the meeting agenda.
