- Sign Plan Approval
Signs require approval by the Village's Design Review Board which meets twice monthly. The approval process starts with the submission of a Commercial Development Application.
Complete details of allowable signage may be found in Chapter 445 Signs of the Village Code. For quick access, you may also reference our Quick Guide (PDF).
Sandwich board signs are permitted within the Village of Shorewood, subject to compliance with the Village's adopted Sandwich Board Program Policy (PDF). A Commercial Development Application for a sandwich board sign shall be submitted to and reviewed and approved by the Planning & Development Director.
Temporary signs to promote a special event are allowed with Village approval. No permit is required, but an application is required to be on file.
Please contact Bart Griepentrog, Planning & Development Director with any questions regarding signage.
