SARS-CoV-2 / COVID19 NOTICE

The Village Hall building is closed to the public until further notice. The Village of Shorewood Municipal Court has re-opened with modified in-person proceedings. The court clerk should be contacted if you are unavailable to appear or have concerns about appearing due to the COVID-19 virus. The municipal court is not conducting virtual appearances at this time, except as to parking tickets on select dates. Court is held at the Village Center located at 3920 N. Murray Ave., Shorewood, WI 53211. Please use Murray Ave., lower level, entrance doors. Contact the court clerk at (414) 847-2617, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to reschedule your case.

About the Court

The Shorewood Municipal Court has jurisdiction over alleged infractions of the Shorewood Municipal Code. These non-criminal violations are punishable by forfeiture (fine) in an amount set by the State of Wisconsin or the Shorewood Village Board. Infractions include traffic citations, parking citations, and other non-criminal code violations occurring in Shorewood.

It is the mission of the Shorewood Municipal Court to administer justice under the authority of the judicial branch of government interpreting the law fairly, impartially, and effectively for all citizens.
