The Foundation is working with Shorewood Community Network, the Senior Resource Center and the Shorewood School District to assist our neighbors in need. Already, $2,000 in food assistance was distributed over the past weekend.
"Thanks to our donors, the Shorewood Foundation is in a unique position to aid our neighbors, including students, families and seniors, during this time of confusion and delayed benefits," said Foundation President Jamie Reeve. "Stepping up to provide access to groceries is the right thing to do," he said. "Collaborating with other stakeholders, we're happy to play a meaningful role providing access to groceries during this emergency."
Those who wish to support the Shorewood Community Network in its ongoing efforts to assist families experiencing hardship can donate through the Shorewood Foundation here. Please write "Shorewood Community Network" in the "Note" field. These funds will be used to assist residents now and throughout the holidays.
Thank you to the many Shorewood residents who are stepping up at this critical moment to support their neighbors. This work is made possible only through the generosity of people like you.
