As mandated by the Constitution, a decennial census is set to take place in 2020. The U.S. Census Bureau is gearing up efforts to make sure everyone is counted, so that critical data can be compiled to apportion representation and help lawmakers, business owners and many others provide daily services, products and support to our community.
It is imperative that residents of Shorewood be included in that count, particularly harder to count populations such as renters, seniors and students. Information regarding the 2020 Census will be mailed to all households in mid-March in preparation for Census Day on April 1, 2020.
