The project will include significant improvements to the Village's combined sewer collection system, upgrades to the water distribution system, public and private lead water service line replacements, road reconstruction and bicycle and pedestrian safety enhancements. Construction is expected to continue into late 2024. Downer Avenue will be closed to through traffic, including buses, for the majority of this time. Local access will be permitted for residents and service vehicles.
