[ARCHIVED] Environmental Film Screening on Thursday, January 16

FoxTales_newsflash

“Fox Tales” is a 53-minute Nature documentary that highlights the work of UW-Madison researchers who have been studying red foxes and coyotes in Madison. It shows everything from the animals’ first hours of life to their first steps into uncharted urban territory and explains how we can coexist with them.

Three expert panelists will answer your questions immediately after the screening:

  • MARY LEE AGNEW, a well-known wildlife photographer who has been observing red foxes in Milwaukee for close to 20 years. She posts her photos regularly on Facebook and Instagram and sells her artwork via Fine Art America.
  • JESSICA KNACKERT, Milwaukee-area wildlife conservation educator for the Bureau of Wildlife Management of Wisconsin DNR.
  • MARCUS MUELLER, owner of Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control in Milwaukee. Not only does Marcus know a thing or two about foxes, but as a graduate student he worked on the research project featured in the documentary.

This special screening of “Fox Tales” is part of the 2025 Shorewood Environmental Film Festival, presented by the Shorewood Conservation Committee and the Shorewood Library. Admission is free.
