Block parties provide an opportunity for neighbors to get together and socialize which builds strong neighborhoods. These strong neighborhood bonds, in turn, make Shorewood a great place to live.
If you are interested in holding a neighborhood block party, the process is simple. Just complete the application form (PDF) and submit it to: Customer Service Department, 3930 N. Murray Avenue, Shorewood, Wis., 53211 or email the form, at least three (3) weeks prior to your planned event. Please be sure to read the guidelines as well to help make your block party a safe, successful event.
Also, each neighborhood block party is eligible to be considered for the Neighborhood of the Year competition. Applications (PDF) are due in mid-March of each year and may be completed online or submitted to: Shorewood Connects, c/o Village Hall, 3930 N. Murray Ave., Shorewood WI 53211.
